ARE YOU THE LEADER FOR PARADISE POINT'S FUTURE?
The Call to Lead
What it means to be a leader of Paradise Point
Located on a stunning 50-acre peninsula in McCall, Idaho, Paradise Point is a sacred intersection where the mountain landscape and clear waters of Payette Lake meet the historic and inclusive Episcopal tradition of faith. Paradise Point is also an ACA accredited camp that supports its sacred calling with a continual commitment to the safety of its campers and ever-improving standards of operations.
As we near the 100th anniversary of this sacred place, precious to the Episcopal Diocese of Idaho since 1935, we are seeking a Director of Camp Experience (Camp Director) and a Site & Operations Manager to serve as the central figures on its leadership team. These two positions will partner together to steward a legacy and steer this camp and community into a new century of camp ministry.
To lead at Paradise Point is to embrace:
1. Hospitality for Every Generation
In the Episcopal tradition, we believe every person is a beloved child of God. Our leadership team works to ensure that amidst the fun and excitement of camp, this belovedness is felt by everyone who visits the property.
A Wide Welcome: Our ministry spans all ages, from five-year-olds at Beginner’s Camp to retired individuals who attend adult retreats. We also consistently serve as a destination for guest groups, family reunions, and weddings, where the beauty of the lake provides a backdrop for life's most significant milestones.
A Deep Purpose: This is not just managing a facility or a camp experience; you are cultivating an environment that is a refuge from a soul-consuming culture. A haven where people of all faith backgrounds—or no faith background at all—find a rare space for peace, belonging, and spiritual renewal.
2. Stewardship of an Entrusted Space
Paradise Point is a sacred trust that has been preserved for over ninety years. The Site and Operations Manager and Camp Director will be the torch bearers of its heritage.
A Land with Lasting Legacy: Leading here means managing our resources—from protecting the water quality of the lake to the health of our forests—with a deep sense of environmental and historical responsibility. It also means finding ways to balance cherished buildings’ history with the need for facility improvements so that future generations can camp in harmony with the pristine natural world around them.
3. Leadership and Life in McCall
We believe that healthy leadership is not just good hiring and management of staff. Leaders grow, mentor, and produce the next generation of leaders.
Empowering Others: Whether in training summer staff, planning for our popular leader-in-training program, or coordinating a volunteer work weekend, our goal is to help individuals become their full selves while instilling the Episcopal value of finding identity through service to others. The central pillar for this organization is fostering a culture that respects the dignity of every human being and embodying that respect in our service.
A Place to Call Home: Located in the mountains of McCall, Idaho, working at Paradise Point can offer a unique and fulfilling lifestyle. Our camp leaders and their families spend much of the year in this serene landscape, where people flock to from all over. Not only can camp leaders become a part of the local community in McCall, they will also be connected and supported by a diocesan family across the state of Idaho. And Idaho itself is a waiting home filled with hidden gems and breathtaking natural wonders (the potatoes are pretty good too!).
Are you the leader for Paradise Point’s future?
If you believe you might be called to carry on the torch of leadership for this camp community, we want to meet with you! Let’s discern together how we can steward the legacy of this mountain sanctuary with you on the leadership team. We invite you to discover your calling in Idaho.
